ACHERON Rounds Out Lineup With Brutal Guitar Duo

February 12, 2010

Black/death metal veterans ACHERON have announced the addition of two new guitarists to the group's ranks — Art Taylor, who has been working with the band for close to a year now, and Eric Stewart.

Taylor came to ACHERON from WEHRWOLFE and Stewart was previously in MANGLED FAITH and INFERNAL FAITH. Years ago, the two played together in a KING DIAMOND/MERCYFUL FATE tribute band called THEM.

Commented ACHERON founder and frontman Vincent Crowley: "This band has gone through an evolutionary process since day one. It just gets better and better as time moves on.

"We were very pleased with the last album, 'The Final Conflict: Last Days of God', and knew we really needed two killer guitarists who lived in our general area to work on the next ACHERON releases.

"Art, who had already been working with us, introduced me to Eric. Those two together are a force to be reckoned with! We can't wait to unleash some new studio recordings to the fans."

Former ACHERON guitarist Maximus Otworth couldn't continue playing the band due to him living too far away. He is presently playing in the group THE EDDINGTON LIMIT. Crowley stated, "Max did a great job while working with us and we only wish him the best of luck. He's a talented young guitarist that he has a lot to offer the metal world."

"I Am Heathen", the latest video from ACHERON, can be viewed below. The clip was filmed with Werner Videos Services and was directed by Aaron Werner. The video features the band lineup of Vincent Crowley, Kyle Severn, Max Otworth and Ash Thomas, and includes a special appearance by actress Madison Riley.

This video is featured on a free promotional DVD put out by the band. The disc is over 90 minutes long and also contains in-depth band video documentary on "Making Final Conflict" (rare footage!),video footage from the band's 2008 "December Damnation" mini-tour in Brazil and the complete "Satanic Supremacy" three-song demo. This DVD is being given out for free to people who are buying the new "The Final Conflict: Last Days Of God" CD from the band or Ibex Moon Records.

"The Final Conflict: Last Days of God", was released on April 30, 2009 via Displeased Records. The CD was once again recorded at Mars Recording Compound with Bill Korecky and was mastered at West West Side Music in New Windsor, New York. The follow-up to 2003's "Rebirth: Metamorphosing into Godhood" is a concept album based on the fall of the three major white light religions, Christianity, Islam and Judaism.
